Project Description
Project definition: The project covers a ground area of 245.000 m2, and consists of a hotel block and a daily used teleferic station with its own facilities. Taking full advantage of the natural slope of the site; providing visual and spatial access between the individual buildings; providing each building with open views of the seaside; and ensuring that both buildings are perceived as low-rise blocks when viewed from road have been the major motives of the design.

Squeezed into a restricted site between older houses, the outside of the building has to give the impression of modernity and historical points. The house was located in front of an historical church. The city is not known for its architectural history and most of its buildings are relatively young. The main aim was to give the impression of historical continuity by using similar facade materials and proportions of existing historical settlements facade units.Architecture2011 -
In order to configure a distinguishable identity in an environment with many buildings serving a similar function, the corner of the building is used as a focal point. Its rounded form serves as a source of vertical sculptural element. This stylish design approach give way to the sensitive high quality material used in the facade.Architecture2011 -
Consisting of a total of 102 units of 4 different plan types, the units form the border of the private and public gardens in the middle by lining up the length of the longer side of the rectangular site. Designed as terrace-houses and duplexes in the lower section open out on their own private gardens which have the quality of thresholds being detached from the public garden using the difference in elevation formed on the site. Above the duplexes, thanks to the linear layout of the two-story apartment buildings, which were positioned lineer to the garden, the most was made of daylight in all of the rooms. Thus, the fragmentation achieved both horizontally and vertically provided a more loose and permeable settlement layout by blurring the norm of the typical four-story apartment building.Architecture2011 -
The building is manipulated and stretched down over the mountain side, creating a structure that makes use of interior circulation of the hotel. The Kartepe altitude of 1,600 meters is a 120 rooms hotel dead Kartepe winter ski resorts in Turkey. Two restaurants, halls, playgrounds, SPA and a swimming pool that is possible to be open to air. The existence of two wings of the building set-garden in love and positioned so as to maximize the daily scenery Mountain Kartepe well. The main goal for the design was a permanent continuous structure to house a controlled facade elements was to minimize the visual impact upon its surroundings. They successfully do this by employing a complex façade system, deliberately designed to break up the visual mass of the cladding materials, which primarily differs from the surrounding settlement.Architecture2011 -
The physical components of the hospital are simply space, scale, light and colour. The elegant modern design employs a combination of compact laminate, composite panels and glass in which the human movement is incorporated into the architectural concept. The diverse activities of the hospital are first disaggregated and then reassembled in neat clusters of different locations that are identifiable through the skin of the building.Architecture2011 -
Project has located to nearby of an existing hospital which is one of the busiest hospital in city center. Since it is on a narrow street and the sides of the site are not perpendicular to each other, shape of the building has an irregular geometry. This provides interior geometry to be irregular as well as improved depth and good scale for the entire mass organization.
This hospital also gives a chance to change the usual mass organization typology for the entire city.Architecture2011 -
In accordance with the Caspian Sea view area and building regulations, a contemporary residental project consisting of a high rised apartment block is planned. On the direction of Caspian Sea overlooking the seaside, the transparent facade dissolves in the greenery and opens up to the view whereas the rear side of the building is preferred to more introverted protecting the sub development. With a new architectural approach, the internal continuity of the forms of the project is planned while seaside panorama is counted as a must.Architecture2011 -
The long, thin planned blocks are located on a total 6000 sqm area, the blocks consist of ground-floor and 2 stories. They are in same type plan, but differrently locatedon each story. The facade of two blocks facing each are too near and they are seperated by walls and a pool. Blocks are nature friendly with private walkout terraces, balconies and garden patios.Architecture2011 -
